I still felt like playing Mario Kart so I’ll stick to it and play Mario Kart Double Dash on the Gamecube. It’s amazing the differences between Super Mario Kart and this one. However, both are very enjoyable in their own way.

One of my fondest moments with Super Mario Kart was playing before Christmas with my sister. My parents had just brought home our gifts and we were playing it as they wrapped them. That year I received a Gameboy Color, which even today it’s my favorite handheld console. It’s a memory that has stuck with me my whole life, and I’m not sure why. Regardless, I’ve put more hours than I could ever remember into Super Mario Kart, and it’s still one of my favorites.

As a kid I remember briefly remember playing Kirby’s Dream Land 3, playing it now as an adult I find it’s actually a pretty good game. It’s what you expect out of a Kirby side scroller, Kirby sucks the enemies up and can take their powers by eating them. There are bosses and the addition of finding animals that can sometimes enhance Kirby’s powers, or downgrade them. I’ll probably be playing this for a while.

Donkey Kong Country is a game I have fond memories of, but I also remember how frustrating it can be. Even though it is frustrating, I’ve played this game at every stage in my life so far, it seems to be a game that just keeps popping up.

Continuing with Disney games, I’m currently playing Aladdin. This is not one of my favorite games, but it does bring back many memories and is fun to play. Aladdin can throw apples to stun enemies before jumping on their heads to take them out. You can vault off imbedded poles and swing across using wall mounts, collecting apples and gems in the process.

Goof Troop was one of my favorite cartoons growing up, so it’s no surprise I ended up with the game as well. This is actually pretty neat, it has you looking for diamonds, eliminating pirates and finding new gadgets. Most of the puzzles and situations take some thought to accomplish, so it has that element as well and can be played Two Player.

I had a rough night yesterday so I decided to just sit around and think, but I’m back at it today, playing Super Mario Sunshine. This was the very first game I had when I received the Gamecube as a gift from my parents. This game brings back a lot of memories, hours and hours went into this game. I’d come home from school and immediately play this, even if I had homework. To me this was a one up on Super Mario 64, I loved that game and love this one.
